Jackie Pennings is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation in the School of Medicine at Vanderbilt University.

Prior to her faculty appointment, Jackie worked as a biostatistician at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, the director of nonprofit research and a statistician at Elite Research, LLC, and also as a statistical research specialist at the State of Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. She has worked on national and international grants in areas such as health science, nutrition, reading, psychology, and mental illness. She is a member of several professional organizations including the American Statistical Association, PROMIS Health Organization, International Society for Quality of Life Research, and the North American Spine Society.

She earned a Ph.D. and Master’s degree in experimental psychology from Texas Christian University after obtaining a Bachelor’s degree from Belmont University. Jackie has also been accredited by the American Statistical Association as an Accredited Professional Statistician.
